Sage is searching for her lost brother - the only other family member to survive when the dragons attacked their village ten years ago - and will do whatever it takes to see them reunited.

However, a chance encounter with an injured dragon changes her destiny. Against her will, Sage is bonded with the dragon Sahva - a talon mark burned into her skin, setting her apart from other humans.

But when she learns that not everything she’s been told about the war is true and that Sahva has also suffered loss, she must decided whether she trusts him enough to work together to end the war.
